Need a reliable CMS system? Try Adobe Business Catalyst
Reliable Content Management Systems are hard to come by, especially if you lack the technical know how to use systems like joomla for instance. Joomla can do most things that other CMS systems can do, and MORE... but it also can be your worst nightmare. It is a pain to setup and in our experience is very inflexible.
There is also wordpress. Most server providers now have a 1 click install to your server which is fantastic, but what about the database setup? To anyone out there who has experience with servers and databases this would be a doodle. But what about all the people out there with no experience in this field? Having what seems an endless supply of plugins and widgets is fantastic, but lets be honest how many of them do you actually use? Once you have installed your favourite SEO package, a slideshow, and a automatic backup tool what else is there? Okay so you might argue that you use other plugins but do you really use them, are they not something that all CMS systems give you as part of the package.
Maybe you are a web designer who lacks in development skills, you know basic html and css, but lack the knowledge to plug a form in using Php? Has your client requested a secure area that they can direct their customers to? Where do you start?
Have you considered Adobe Business Catalyst? Its a complete off the shelve CMS system that offers all that you need to run your business or to develop a website for your client. Using its easy to use interface you can have a basic website up in a day using your existing html and css skills. Using Adobe's easy to use modules you can add blogs, ecommerce, secure zones, email marketing and much more. Even more interesting is that its free to develop on. Only when you wish to launch your website do you pay. Okay there's the catch I hear you say. No not really, Adobe business catalyst costs no more than general hosting and can be paid upfront for 1 to 2 years or the most favoured choice of paying which is monthly. Hosting pricing actually depends on which modules you wish to use and starts at around £5 per month (standard really).
Thats not all, it's a CMS, you can provide your client or a co-worker access to make text changes or update content. Also using the reports section you can get upto date analytics so you can see who has visited your site and where from.
